About this event
Writers—bring a short play or scene that you are working on (10 minutes max) and choose your cast from the gathered writers, actors, and audience members in attendance. Playwrights Jam is hosted by Lesley Greene and AJ Sage.
Each reading will be followed by quick "popcorn" feedback from the attendees, with the event culminating in some wind-down socializing with complimentary pizza and snacks. Beverages will be available for sale from the KTC bar. Playwrights' Jam is inspired by a regular event at Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs.
Doors open at 5 PM, casting begins at 5:15, and the readings start at 5:30. Suggested is donation $10.
This Playwrights Jam is our first Extended Play version, with a full reading of a play developed through this monthly Playwrights Jam. We will be hearing the full text of AJ Sage's THE GREAT WOOLLY MAMMOTH, directed by Jen Pearcy-Edwards. Cast TBD!
We encourage preregistration for everyone, but if you are planning on bringing a script, it is required!
