About this event

a tender true story of love and war during WWII with period music
written & performed by Regi Carpenter
Friday, Sept. 24th 7:30-9 pm ET
Tix: $25.00 or donation
This story, collected over time, was told to Regi by her father, Carl Carpenter, about his experience as a young man in the Pacific arena during WWII. It's a war story, a father's story, an American story, and above all else, a love story highlighted by period music. If you can't come that night a recording will be made available to you the next day.
Regi Carpenter is an award-winning internationally known storyteller, author and workshop leader. Regi is the youngest of five in a small town on the St. Lawrence River in northern New York. She is a fifth generation "river rat" and share the gut-wrenching and glorious tales of a family full of contradictions: religious but raucous, tender but terrible, unfortunate and irrepressible.
