Thousands of people in Tompkins County came here from other countries. If we look back far enough, every one of us has an immigrant story.
Join us on National Immigrants Day for an evening of stories, community, and connection. Share your own five-minute story or just come to listen to others'. At a time when immigrants are too often scapegoated, let’s celebrate the threads of resilience, courage, and hope that connect us all.
Immigrant Stories Open Mic is hosted by Story House Ithaca, Catholic Charities, and our local Immigrant Solidarity Group. Delicious food will be available for purchase. We will pass a hat to support legal aid and bail funds for immigrants facing the threat of deportation.
