The Black to the Future Film Festival kicks off with this screening of short films from around the world

About this event
This selection of short films from Africa, the UK, and the US was curated by Ithaca College film faculty member Shola Ajayi and will be followed by a Zoom conversation with several of the filmmakers. There will be a bubbly toast to launch the festival, courtesy of Red Feet Wine Market & Spirit Provisions.
The films (subject to change) are Hello, Rain (30 mins), Feathers (20 mins), Afronauts (14 mins), The Voice in the Hollow (animated, 10 mins), Tokinbo (13 mins), Cracked Screen (8 mins), Cousins (14 mins), and Reluctantly Queer (8 mins).
Zooming in will be filmmakers Rogba Arimoro (Tokunbo), Oge Obasi (Hello Rain), Mandy Marcus (Cousins), and Miguel Ortega (The Voice in the Hollow).
This event is part of the Black to the Future Film Festival, which is supported by the Park Foundation, the Learning Farm, Khuba International, CAN Cooperative Media, Tompkins Community Bank, and individual donations. This program is also made possible in part with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the office of the Governor and NYS Legislature, administered by the Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
