“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.” -- Shakespeare

In this three-week workshop, Regi Carpenter will meet you with kindness, compassion, and understanding through spoken and written word work, deep listening, and group support. Together we will hold the wound of loss and reaffirm both love and life.

Regi Carpenter is an internationally known storyteller, author, coach, teacher, and producer. A fifth-generation "river rat" from a small town on the St. Lawrence River, Regi shares glorious and gut-wrenching stories of growing up the youngest of five on a big river with an undercurrent.

Her memoir, "Where There's Smoke, There's Dinner:  Stories of a Seared Childhood," won the Storytelling World Award for Outstanding Writing of Personal Stories. Booklist called it "an unexpected gift that leaves us longing for more." She is also a winner of the Parents' Choice Gold Award. She has toured and taught nationally and internationally at a variety of institutions connecting to people through stories. Regi is also the founder of A New Mourning: Growing Through Grief, a creative initiative dedicated to bringing songs of joy and stories of hope to those living with grief and loss.
